Ayesha Ayaz Leads the Charge
Ayesha Ayaz, celebrated as Pakistan’s youngest taekwondo champion, captured both a gold and a bronze medal, reaffirming her reputation as a prodigious talent on the international stage.
Brother and Sister Join the Podium
Her elder brother, Mohammad Zaryab Khan, added to the country's pride by claiming a gold medal with dominant performances. Meanwhile, their youngest sibling, Gulalai Ayaz, was named Best Fighter of the Tournament and also earned a bronze medal, inspiring admiration for her skill and resilience.
This achievement marks the first time in Pakistan’s history that three siblings have collectively secured four medals at a global taekwondo event, igniting celebrations across Swat and nationwide—forging them into symbols of hope and determination.
Ayesha’s Words of Gratitude
Reflecting on her success, Ayesha shared:
“I thank Almighty Allah for this success. I am deeply grateful to my father, who has been my greatest source of strength, and to all the supporters who always believed in me. I especially thank Hassan Nisar, CEO of Metrix Pakistan, for continuously encouraging me and supporting my journey.”
A Call for Greater Support
Experts point out how this milestone highlights the urgent need for stronger institutional backing of martial arts—and other underrepresented sports—in Pakistan. With improved training infrastructure and more global exposure, athletes like the Ayaz siblings could become formidable contenders on the world stage.
