Pakistan Confirms Downing of Six Indian Jets with Video Evidence, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Says
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi revealed on Sunday that Pakistan possesses clear video proof confirming the downing of all six Indian fighter jets by the Pakistan Air Force during the recent Marka-e-Haq operation.
Speaking at a seminar titled “Global Impacts of Pakistan’s Military and Diplomatic Victories over India,” organized by the Waris Mir Foundation at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Naqvi lauded the combined efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces, intelligence agencies, and national leadership in securing victory during the May 2025 conflict.
Advanced Intelligence and Strategic Caution
Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan intercepted every move and decision made by Indian forces during the war. Although radar data confirmed the destruction of the jets instantly, Pakistan deliberately withheld announcing the achievement until video footage and on-ground evidence were obtained.
“The videos of all six destroyed Indian aircraft were secured within minutes, and I am revealing this today,” he said. He highlighted that the leadership prioritized verifying evidence before making any official claims.
The minister underscored the vital role played by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies, which provided early warnings about Indian plans, flight operations, and strategic decisions. “Our intelligence teams worked quietly yet decisively behind the scenes and deserve full recognition,” Naqvi added.
Divine Support and Military Resolve
Naqvi also paid tribute to what he called the “hidden soldiers” of intelligence and pointed to divine intervention during the conflict. He recalled that India launched seven missiles targeting a Pakistani military base, but none hit their intended targets.
“Faith, belief, and determination are powerful weapons that invite the help of Allah,” Naqvi remarked. He praised Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Asim Munir for responding with courage and conviction, leading Pakistan’s forces to strike key strategic targets inside India and achieve all operational goals.
In a notable anecdote, Naqvi shared that during the conflict, Field Marshal Munir likened India to a “shining car” and Pakistan to a “loaded dumper,” signaling that the clash’s outcome was unavoidable.
Unity Amidst Conflict and Political Strength
The Interior Minister highlighted the strong unity between Pakistan’s civil and military leadership, contrasting it with India’s reported internal divisions, where the army and air force chiefs held separate meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Naqvi accused Indian leaders Ajit Doval and Amit Shah of orchestrating the Pulwama incident, labeling it a “false-flag” operation that triggered the war. He warned that such policies would ultimately backfire on India.
He praised Pakistan’s political consensus during the conflict, noting that all major political parties stood united. Naqvi also credited PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s diplomatic efforts, saying Pakistan’s international lobbying was more effective compared to the challenges faced by the Indian delegation.
Condemning Indian Support for Terrorism
Addressing ongoing issues, Naqvi accused India of openly supporting terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that Pakistan holds concrete evidence of New Delhi’s involvement. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to pursuing the Kashmir cause until the Kashmiri people receive their UN-mandated right to self-determination.
Looking Ahead
Naqvi concluded by commending Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their steadfast leadership despite intense international pressure following the downing of Indian jets. He stressed the importance of maintaining the current political and administrative framework to ensure Pakistan’s continued stability and progress.
